Can I pay more?

You can choose to increase your retirement benefits by paying Additional Voluntary Contributions (AVCs).

AVCs will allow you to build up a fund to buy extra benefits when you retire. You can decide how much to pay and you can also vary your payments. At retirement, you decide how you will use your fund to buy extra benefits. You may wish to take independent financial advice before deciding how much you want to pay.

If you would like further information on AVCs, including details of any notice periods required to change or vary the amount you pay, please contact the Group Pensions team.
